So I bought this in April 2020, it is now October 2021 and it has developed a fault. The fault is that it scratches all my discs till they are unreadable with a round circle. I have had to not only buy a new stereo but new music. Five damaged discs.

This is a great looking piece of portable kit and sounds great with plenty of volume and bass. The CD player will play rewritable discs and recordable discs and is very easy to use. The DAB+ radio is exceptional and is very sensitive with reception and will easily receive radio stations outside your area. FM reception is reasonably acceptable but requires a stronger signal as sensitivity is much weaker than the DAB platform. As for the cassette deck, I did notice that this part of the unit seemed much LESS robust and I was correct because after just playing three tapes the fast forward button completely jammed and got stuck. The tape deck lets this unit down badly. If this unit was DAB and CD only, then I would be giving this a 10 star review, but the weak points are it's FM reception and tape deck.

Absolutely rubbish. Bought in April 2024 but did not take out of box till May 2025. Only the CD player works, No radio, tape or Bluetooth working. Returned to ARGOS, they didn't want to know, as they said ' out of warranty 'Told them it had not even been used. Contacted Philips, they said Contact ARGOS. Being passed pillar to post, no outcome!!!! Will never buy Philips again.

Bought a new one last month, sound quality was good but the unit felt cheap and flimsy, with horrible clunky buttons. The biggest disappointment was you could not control the tape deck with the remote control - what’s the point in having a remote if you can’t control an entire mode? Secondly I was unable to connect to my Bluetooth speakers. However the unit I bought saved it’s best trick until last - on day one after an hour of use it decided to chew 2 cherished cassette tapes. I took the unit back for a full refund the very next day.
