Die Xiaomi Amazfit GTS 2 ist eine rechteckige Smartwatch mit Aluminiumgehäuse und einem 1,65" großen AMOLED-Farbdisplay. Die Uhr bietet integriertes GPS+GLONASS, einen optischen Herzfrequenzsensor und mehrere Bewegungssensoren zur Erfassung von Alltagsaktivitäten und verschiedenen Sportprofilen. Der Akku mit 246 mAh ist für etwa sieben Tage normale Nutzung und längere Laufzeiten im Energiesparmodus ausgelegt. Das Modell ist bis 5ATM wasserdicht und besitzt rund 3 GB internen Speicher zur lokalen Ablage von Musikdateien.

Battery life is ok, kind of. Good for the price though. Tracks well. Easy to answer calls with clear voice output. Light weight. Trendy and fashionable. Looks great on the wrist.

With the GTS 2, Huami has refined the design of its square smartwatch for the better and also made it a better smartwatch. The downside is that it’s got a little more expensive and lost a bit of its battery stamina and appeal in the way. If you want an attractive square smartwatch that doubles as a decent fitness tracker, it’s one to look at. If you want a more rounded smartwatch and sports tracking, look in the direction of Garmin and Apple.

The Amazfit GTS 2 is still a good smartwatch, but it's been shown up by the cheaper GTS 2 Mini and GTS 2e. The advanced voice assistant and music features are too weak to justify the price hike – so we're pleased there are alternatives in the GTS range. But the hike in price, which coincides with the lower cost of the Apple Watch SE, Fitbit Versa 3 with GPS and even the Amazfit Bip U, make the GTS 2 seem less impressive this time around.
