Der Michelin Pilot Sport 5 in der Größe 235/45 ZR18 (98Y) XL gilt als Sommerreifen mit sehr hohem Grip auf nasser und trockener Fahrbahn und einem gut berechenbaren Handling. Viele Tests und Fahrerrückmeldungen betonen die starken Nässeleistungen mit sehr guten Aquaplaning-Reserven und kurzen Bremswegen, was viel Vertrauen bei starkem Regen gibt. Auch Lenkpräzision und Stabilität in Kurven werden häufig gelobt, wodurch der Reifen sich gut für sportliche Straßennutzung eignet. Gleichzeitig fällt die für einen Sportreifen überdurchschnittliche Laufleistung mit gleichmäßigem Verschleiß auf. Zu beachten ist, dass Bremswege und Rundenzeiten im Trockenen in Vergleichen nicht immer die absolut besten im Topsegment sind und das Geräuschniveau etwas höher liegt als bei besonders leisen Wettbewerbern. Zudem kann der Reifen bei langer und harter Rennstreckennutzung warm werden und dann etwas an Performance verlieren. Für Fahrer, die vor allem einen sportlichen, sicheren und langlebigen Sommerreifen für Alltags- und zügige Fahrten suchen, ist er dennoch eine sehr starke Wahl, mit nur kleinen Abstrichen bei Geräuschkomfort und extremer Track-Performance.

Smooth ride. Incredible grip that even prevents the traction control from engaging in brisk pull aways from a standstill. (My car is FWD). The only negative with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is that tyre wear does appear to be slightly higher than with a regular tyre.

Se volete una bella guida sportiva sull'asciutto sono perfetti. Sul bagnato leggermente meno performanti ma direi che è normale! Ho provato precedentemente altre marche ma per me restano pe migliori!

Usure des pneus très importante Attention aux routes de campagnes gravillonneuses pouvant endommager les pneus très rapidement. Les voitures lourdes (type electrique tesla), use les pneus à la vitesse de l'éclair, penser à vérifier courrament. Malgré une usure avancée (voire très avancée), les pneus n'éclatent pas, ils tiennent bon quoi qu'il arrive. Impressionnant.
