Intel Core i5-10400 2,9GHz LGA1200 12M Cache Boxed CPU

I don't really see the difference with an i7 8900 at the moment. But it seems to consume less power for better efficiency.

Very good processor, heats up very little. The supplied ventirad is sufficient once the BIOS regulation has been properly set. The 20 cores are future proof. Gaming performance is excellent. A new feature is the NPU that lets you run Copilot in Windows 11. And the price is still reasonable.

The Core Ultra 5 245K is more energy efficient and runs cooler than its predecessor, but its CPU performance is a mixed bag, and its gaming performance disappoints.

Upgrading to any "Comet Lake" CPU (and its new platform) has its budget implications, but for a six-core chip with gaming chops, the Core i5-10400 is as good as it gets in Intel's 10th Generation stack.

Cpu came to me a few months ago and i'm only reviewing now as I forgot to do so. It was packaged impeckably and came with every thing required for install (cpu, stock cooler and instructions). The cpu has performed amazingly on my system and with a good IAO or Tower cooler can reach very low temps on idle and when pushed to the limit, my experience has been hoving below and around 30C on idle and at most 55C - 60C when pushed with cinebench however your mileage may vary. Overall, a great Cpu at a great price, with the quality of swift delivery, discrete and secure packaging that I come to expect from Overclockers UK.
