Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy auf der Switch bietet eine einzigartige Kombination aus Action, Plattform und Rätseln, wobei man zwischen zwei Charakteren mit jeweils eigenem Spielstil wechselt. Die ägyptische Atmosphäre und die überarbeitete Grafik werden oft gelobt, ebenso wie die kreativen Rätsel, besonders in den Mumien-Abschnitten. Es gibt jedoch klare Nachteile: Die Kamera arbeitet oft gegen den Spieler, die Steuerung wirkt manchmal veraltet und das Fehlen eines Lock-On-Systems macht Kämpfe weniger präzise. Auch sind einige Gameplay-Elemente recht simpel, was das Alter des Originals verrät. Für Fans klassischer 3D-Plattformer mit originellem Ansatz ist das Spiel dennoch empfehlenswert, sofern man die genannten Schwächen akzeptiert.

The story, the graphics, the game play, the puzzles, the ideas are all JUST AMAZING in this game... WOW... how perfectly imaginative... I really enjoyed playing this game. It was challenging at times and frustrating at others, but when I finally got through the level I felt a great sense of pleasure combined with an admiration for the designers of the game. Just great!!! 7 stars out of 5

Really fun game, lots of action and plenty of monsters to fight.. lots of adventurous puzzles to figure out... Challenging battles, couldn't decide who was more fun to plays as, the Sphinx or the mummy, hope they come out with a part 2!!

This game is really challenging. I had a difficult time figuring out the initial puzzles, had to look at YouTube videos. I like the game a lot. Glad I got it.
