I purchased this because my old D-Link powered hub bit the dust. I thought I would stick with the same brand since the old one lasted a long time. That was a mistake. The USB hub function works fine but the charging function is a joke. The Ad claims that there are 4 fast charging ports. There ARE NOT. There is only ONE that is supposed to be a "fast" charging port. It's NOT. It takes much longer to charge my i-phone than the Apple wall wart charger. It 's supposed to be able to charge an i-pad. Fat chance.

This is just the right size for my desktop. Not so small that you have to carefully hold it in place while plugging in devices. Not so small that mouse use drags it around on your desk. Just the right size. The little feet on its base keeps it in place. If not for some reason, put some velcro in place on it and mate it with velcro on your desk. For most purposes (use of mouse, keyboard and reading a thumb drive), there is no need to plug in the power supply. I keep the power supply on hand, but do not plug it in routinely. I really appreciate the long cable length provided to go between computer and hub. I think it is 4 foot if I recall correctly.

It's tiny and seems to work just plugged in to my laptop for low power stuff, but I bought this because I needed a hub that would provide its own power independent of the USB port it's plugged into. It came with a power adapter with a continental European plug! I ordered this in the US from a US seller. Buyer beware.

I had another powered USB 2.0 hub that didn't seem to be delivering enough juice (my RGB backlit gaming keyboard would sometimes fail to initialize due to insufficient power). Replaced that hub with this one and no more problems.

Great Product. Everything as described. Very well made. Wish it had a on/off Switch
