Dieser Filmscanner ist ein eigenständiges Tischgerät zur Digitalisierung von 35mm Filmstreifen und gerahmten Dias. Das Gerät nutzt einen festen Filmhalter, in den mehrere Bilder geladen und automatisch nacheinander gescannt werden. Die optische Einheit arbeitet mit CCD-Sensor, LED-Lichtquelle und einem Infrarotkanal zur Erkennung von Staub und Kratzern. Der Scanner wird per USB an einen Computer angeschlossen und liefert hochauflösende Bilder im unterstützten Filmformat.

Tried installing their software on two machines. 1 - They ship the application on a CR-ROM. Seriously -- I haven't had a computer with an optical drive in 10 years. Do you guys listen to cassette tapes in your office too? 2 - I tried insalling on two different computers. On the first, the installer locked up and had to be killed after 15 minutes. This left their application (and who knows what else,) on my computer and the uninstall fails. I'm going to have to reformat and reinstall to get rid of this stuff. 3 - On the second machine, the software installed but the application terminates immediately after a preview scan. Updating their software via their built-in updater removes the old application, but doesn't install anything new. Sorry, but I'm never EVER buying anything from plustek again, and neither should anyone else.

Works well. I like it because it also takes 35mm negatives and correctly reverses the colors.

I like the hands off and the scanning software. Easy to use and quite robust. The USB interface with the machine can be a bit loose so this has to be checked from time to time.

UPDATE: after seeing this review the manufacturer sent me the drivers for Apple and hardware functions well. Amazon are selling a product that has no drivers for Apple and manufacturer no longer supports. Software willl NOT work and hardware will herwfire not function . Needs a £75 patch from third party provider
