Die OM SYSTEM OM-5 Mark II ist eine leichte, robuste Kamera mit exzellenter 5-Achsen-Stabilisierung und vielen kreativen Funktionen wie Live ND und High Res Shot. Dank IP53 ist sie wetterfest und ideal für den Außeneinsatz. Der Autofokus ist schnell, aber es fehlt die moderne Motiverkennung, was für Sport- oder Tierfotografie ein Nachteil ist. Sensor und Prozessor sind nicht neu, die Bildqualität entspricht der Vorgängergeneration. Die Akkulaufzeit ist durchschnittlich, bei hohen ISO-Werten schwächelt die Kamera gegenüber Vollformat. Für kompakte, vielseitige und wetterfeste Ansprüche eine gute Wahl.

Still familiarising myself with the camera but my initial feelings are that it is a high quality piece of kit. Having owned the Olympus OM-D-E mark iii being able to easily find options and settings with the new menus is wonderful and doubtless, as I have already done, I will find options that I didn't know existed on the earlier camera. Glad that I made the trade in!!

Very compact and lightweight. (People with big hands may struggle.) Gives excellent results and is easy to use once you have navigated the many menus. Two minor downsides it’s very easy to catch the arrow pad whilst using the camera and the cover for the USB socket is quite flimsy.

The OM-5 Mark II is one of the most affordable mirrorless cameras you can get with full IP53 weather protection, but lags behind entry-level alternatives when it comes to imaging prowess.
