I wear a Patagonia hat most days of my life. Explicitly purchased them for years and recently my wife got me one of these new guys. Super lightweight, breathable and looks decent, if not a little dad-like. I'm pretty tough on my hats and don't wash them regularly - its been only a month and this'n is showing all the signs of a 2 year old lived in hat that has threads fraying, stains and fading. Kinda a shame because it's a good enough hat but I probably wouldn't buy it myself, not for the price. I'm a massive believer in Patagonia and they usually do fantastic work but this one just missed a bit.

I have bought countless hats over the years. This is as good as they get. I read one review complaining that it has no holes for ventilation. If this hat is too hot for you, consider staying inside with the AC.

This $50 hat is Horribly Hot in hot humid weather Not Breathable as promoted at all. Also has no vent holes as most hats do ( to save money increase profits ) Likely will cause scalp problems. Do not buy ! I normally have high confidence with anything Patagonia now that changed ! I purchased two from the start $100! I have already given one away. Not sure what to do with the other. Definitely not as listed promotes
